Rinfresco Pizza


  • 1 crust-Mama Mary’s 12” Gourmet Whole Wheat Pizza Crusts
  • ¾ cup-Your favorite pizza sauce-we used Dei Fratelli because it is fat free
  • 1 cup- fresh basil leaves
  • 3 small roma tomatoes sliced
  • 7-9 slices (about 3 oz) Bresaola is a thinly sliced dried Italian beef.
  • 1 cup-Fat free mozzarella cheese, shredded 
  • Put on after cooking:
  • 1 Avocado sliced
  • 1 Lime
  • Fresh ground pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 450° F.  Place your Mama Mary’s pizza crust on a pizza stone or directly on the oven rack when ready to bake.  
  2. Spread pizza sauce evenly over pizza crust.  Place fresh basil, whole leaves, evenly over the sauce.  Evenly layer the Bresaola, tomatoes, and mozzarella (best in that order). 
  3. If you really like fresh ground pepper you can put some on top before cooking.
  4. Bake in the oven at 425° F. for 8-10 mins. Or until desired crispness.  
  5. Take pizza out of the oven and place eight slices of avocado, one on each slice going around the pizza.  Squeeze a little lime juice from a fresh lime over each slice of avocado and grind more fresh pepper over each piece. When cutting the pizza in 8 slices make sure each slice has a piece of avocado. 

This is light, fresh and delicious!  The name means “refreshing pizza” in Italian.
